Today we shine our Alumni Spotlight on Louisa You from China! Louisa graduated from 欧美精品视频 in 2016 and through the University Transfer program, she successfully transferred to the . Now, she works as an Enrolment Office Assistant at 欧美精品视频.
When asked how she came to study at 欧美精品视频, Louisa says she had a friend who had studied at the college. One of the main benefits that convinced Louisa to choose 欧美精品视频 was the selection of fully transferrable courses.
Louisa also appreciates the Student Support Services that the college offers. During her time as a student at 欧美精品视频, she took advantage of the workshops held by Academic Advising and made sure to book appointments with an Academic Advisor to ensure she was meeting UBC admission requirements.
One of the advantages of transferring to a university from 欧美精品视频 rather than overseas is having fewer transfer requirements. For example, by transferring from a college in Canada, students are able to waive the English proficiency requirement that universities in Canada have.
For international students, Louisa recommends the University Transfer program if they are looking to transfer to a university upon graduation. Completing the first two years at a college also allows students to adjust to life and schooling in Canada.
Louisa also recommends students take advantage of the numerous services that the college offers.
“Don’t hesitate to reach out,” Louisa says, “…because the entire school is here to support you!”
