Arisa from Japan: Embracing Different Cultures in Canada

Written by 欧美精品视频 in Student Spotlight on January 27, 2026

Today we shine our Student Spotlight on Arisa Nagumo, one of our current students from Japan! Arisa worked at a tax accountant’s office in Tokyo before making the decision to study in Canada for an Associate of Arts degree.

Life in Canada

As someone who has always wanted to study abroad, 欧美精品视频 was Arisa’s top choice because of the college’s diverse staff. Having staff who are able to speak Japanese and explain procedures in her native language was a huge help to Arisa when she first arrived.

Attending 欧美精品视频 allowed Arisa to step out of her comfort zone and make friends with students from all around the world. One thing that has stood out to her is the fact that many cultures live together while still maintaining their own cultures through local communities.

Advice for New Students

Arisa’s advice to new students is to volunteer. A great way to find volunteering opportunities is through Volunteer Fairs hosted by Career Advising.

“Volunteering gives you the chance to interact with people from different backgrounds.”
